I’m Victoria Stanyon. A freelance opera soprano from London.
I enjoy a busy career as a freelance opera singer, performing various roles in operas and galas all over the globe.
I trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London where I won an on-the-spot entrance scholarship. From the academy I went on to win the First Prize (under 35) and Audience Prize at the Wagner Society International Competition and was a finalist for the Umberto Giordano International Opera Competition in Foggia, Italy.
“If I cannot fly, let me sing.” .
When not performing, I pursue my passion for teaching and tutor the young and extremely talented ladies at the prestigious Woldingham School, Surrey.
Please take a look at my showreel for 2019, and get in get in touch regarding booking enquiries, or for further information about me.
It is my great pleasure to teach people to sing…
Everybody has something to say that is worth listening to and by helping develop the expressive tools to communicate effectively I get a front row seat when my students find their voice.
I truly believe that if you have any artistic inclination whatsoever, then you owe it to yourself to practice it often.
